With the different time stands of SWISSIMAGE, the orthophoto mosaic of swisstopo, landscape change in Switzerland and thus also the retreat of alpine glaciers can also be experienced by using aerial images from 1979 to the present day.

Thanks to the aerial photographs from the "US flight mission" of 1946, the changes in the landscape can be traced even further back into the past.
