What geological hiking trails are there in my region?
Geotourism valorizes special geological and landscape features. Geological hiking trails (Geo-trails), maps and guides are produced to make geology accessible to a broad audience. The Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT) and «Erlebnis Geologie» have compiled a list of these trails.

«Erlebnis Geologie» offers the general public a range of events and activities related to geology in Switzerland. As part of «Erlebnis Geologie», geologists from all walks of life (geological organisations, universities, private offices, industry, museums, government departments) are committed to sharing their passion for geology with the public throughout the year, through informative and entertaining events. This gives the general public an opportunity to find out more about the influence of geology on our daily lives, and to realise the extent to which the work of geologists contributes to our high quality of life.
