Where do you find aerodromes and heliports in Switzerland? Civil and military aerodromes (FOCA)
Aerodromes are facilities defined in the Sectoral aviation infrastructure plan as intended for aircraft take-off and landing. The official list of aerodromes and heliports authorized by the FOCA has been published under point AD 1.3 of the Swiss Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP).
Aerodromes are places where aircraft land and take off, are stationed and maintained. They are facilities for the handling of goods and movement of passengers. A distinction is made between airports and airfields. The organisation and operation of an aerodrome are set out in its operating regulations.
The conditions for using the facilities are part of Swiss aviation publications and may be obtained from the AIP and VFR Manual. Please note: This is not an official aeronautical data publication. The information provided does not necessarily reflect the latest operational data.
