Geodata from the Swiss Confederation for COVID-19 crisis developer

As communities come together in response to COVID-19 pandemic, the developer community is playing an active and important role in relief efforts. The #versusvirus Hackathon = will take place from April 3 to 5, 2020. To assist participants in their application development, the API and existing geoservices are made available free of charge. Concretely, the limit of 25,000 megapixels per year that exists for swisstopo geodata has been removed for Hackaton participants until the end of 2020. To apply for unlimited credits, please fill out the API SIGNUP form by clicking the link below. Note that as all participants will need to register to access our services, we ask you to provide your –mail and domain account. Under "usage" (Zweck) just add #versusvirus. You will get an access a few minutes later (just test it, you won't get an email).



What are swisstopo geodata megapixel / API credits?

Swisstopo geodata issues credits in megapixels for its WMTS Service that is automatically applied to your referrer account at the end of the month against your usage of any WMTS that month. With Swisstopo Geodata you also receive Access to API REST Services such a Geocoding / Reverse Geocoding, RESTful feature API with a wide variety on options.
